Here we go Steve Wright's off again, with his useless comments on items
Why, when he reads out a news review, does he then have to come out with the most lame comments as an attempt at humour?
Do you hate Steve Wright (on BBC Radio 2)? Are you completely fed up with the sycophantic, moronic rubbish that he spouts? Do you think Steve Wright has had his day? Well I do! Every day at the office we see how much of his program we can stomach before we can stand it no longer and switch to another station. So, this blog is about all the gut clenching, stomach churning, sick making purile drivel Steve Wright comes out with, and why we hate it so!
Why, when he reads out a news review, does he then have to come out with the most lame comments as an attempt at humour?
So what is it with him [Steve Wright], that compels him to make these jocular quips that clearly send all of us listeners into howls of laughter, or, as in my case, not.
Come on Steve! It’s a whole new millennium now, surely you can evolve your tired, much abused and dated approach to being a jock?
As a song approaches its end, there is an impending sense of doom because you just *know* SW is going to start yaking again, invariably with some waste of time comment about the song you just heard [as I type, he’s just followed a record with ‘that sounds like my uncle jack singing’ – wow, humour at its best!].
These banal injections of crass comments ensure that the whole show is keep firmly in the eighties.
Oh God, Boy George is now a guest of his – don't let me get started in HIM!, I’m going to have to stop before my rant become too frenzied! Before the interview even starts I just know Steve Wright will ask a number of ‘oh so sincere’ questions that just give him an opportunity to kiss-arse during the whole interview.
Laters..
