The quality of the willing listener is a benchmark for the quality of the show
This point cannot be proven more clearly that just now with some bint sending in her golden oldies that starts with "An octopusses garden" - OH MY GOD, what's wrong with these people. You can spot them a mile away as they say vacuous things like:
"I hope you enjoy listening to these as much as we enjoyed comiling the list"
For crying out load - how much enjoyment can you get from compiling a list of 3 songs! Leyt alone a list that starts with thsat pathetic song!
Steve Wright in the afternoon - Brain dead and sycophantic host, brain dead and boring co-hosts, brain dead listeners. It shouldn't be called the "Big Show" it's the "Brainless Show"

Did you hear the other week on popmaster with the genuinely good d.j Ken Bruce that the contestant,a woman but cannot remember her name said some hello's after she did the 3 in 10 and one of them was to a society that thinks the big show is crap.Mr Bruce made a brief attempt to passify the situation-but i bet he agrees also that the big show is crap
Yeah, I was listening to that too - it's a facebook group apparently,I cheered at the time but I couldn't find when I search facebook.
BTW - I totally agree with you about Ken Bruce being a good DJ, and also that he must think the big show is pants.
I just found the group - it's called the 'Society of people who don't like Steve Wright and his big show.'
I feel my blood pressure rising when the 'Big show' starts, weird thing is I listen to the whole thing just so that I can get mad and complain about how pants it all is!!!!

This comment I find really depressing, the golden oldies always consist of the usual mainstream stuff never anything interesting or diverse. There is enough music out there that the same track never needs repeating. It is a shame the BBC employs presenters who are not really interested the music. Steve Wright plays one track and someone emails to say love the show Steve, am I missing the joke?
