Steve Wright has been taken off the air .. oh hang on, no he hasn't :-(

How very disappointing that was. I’ve been on the phone most of the afternoon so mercifully I’ve been spared too much of Messrs Wright & Smith and The Veggie – actually I did manage to catch a self-righteous monologue about broccoli and purple-sprouting, which was good because let’s face it, we’re all such luddites on the vegetable front that it takes a brain dead ex-backing signer to tell us about such things don’t it *sniff* ?

Anyway, having missed most of the Big Show I un-muted the radio and without realising it, I found myself singing along to ‘Who Are You?’, one of my favourite Who tracks. It took a little while to dawn on me but I realised it was only 4:30pm and I was enjoying the music being played on radio 2 – surely there can only be one conclusion Steve Wright has been taken off the air!

Wow, I was so excited but it was short lived, before long I was being bombarded with the usual tripe and verbal dysentery – and then to really stick the knife in Graham Norton came on as a guest – how pants is that? :-(

The best thing about the Steve Wright Show is Mark Radcliffe and Lisa Tarbuck. In other words, when Steve Wright is on holiday, the show is brilliant! After listening to these two, you realise that Wrights show is so dated and boring. Someone please start a campaign to get rid of this dinosaur!!

And another thing.....When a quiz contestant gives the wrong answer, why does he say 'Good guess'... If it was good guess, then they would have got the answer correct!!!

Another example.....Steve: "What year was the first ballpoint pen used?"
Tim: " Oh, I'd say around 1927?"
Steve: "Good guess, it was actually 1888".
AAAAAAARGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

gets to you after awhile don't he!

I'm with you about Mark Radcliffe - not so sure abot Lisa though - I kind of get her, but then I think "Hmmmm" so the jury's out.

Hang on, what am I saying? Compared to Steve Wright, Lisa is fantatic!

I thought I was the only one to have picked up on him ruining the Apprentice last night. Let's hope he does it again in the final so he gets banished from the BBC once and for all

He can't accidently reveal the answer in the final of The Apprentice since not even the BBC are allowed to know until the day the programme is broadcast.

Why do you all listen to Steve Wright just to critisise his show by the way? This is out of order and could be seen as cyber-bullying. I'm not trying to ofend you with this but am just interested in your motives for creating this site.

I, probably like many others, are out voted when it comes to choosing which radio station we listen to in the workplace. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice!

Although I have the casting vote about what station we listen too, it's kinda taken away from me since Radio 2 is the only station we can pick up here - which on the whole is okay with the like of Chris Evenas and Ken Bruce.
