Steve Wright - David Brent of the airwaves?

Is it me, or is the desperate almost painful desire to be thought of as funny (as Steve Wright does) remenicient of David Brent (of The Office).

Now, I love The Office and think it is hugely funny, but then David Brent is a caracature, where as the same pathetic traits mirrored by Steve Wright don't quite have the same impact.

Enough is enough - go home steve and if you can't find a suitable replacement then just leave the airwaves silent - it would be better.

The difference is that Ricky Gervais is a master of original comedy where as Mr Wright has nothing to do with the word 'original'! It's weird, during one of his tedious shows, you know exactly what he's going to say in his next sentence in order to try and raise a laugh!! Is this why the wording at the end of his show "Steve Wright in the Afternoon is copyrighted" has been removed?!! LOL!

As good point, and one I hadn't picked up on.

Just how do you claim copyright when all you do is spout the tried old rubbish everyone and his dog used before the mid-80's.
